Conversation upon entering
Guy at counter (Guy)
G - Ah hello! Will you be checking in?
D - I'm a detective! And we don't have much time.
D - Tonight, someone's about to be murdered by the Valentine's Day Killer!
G - *Gasp* In my Love Throne Six Nine Motel?!
D - You must tell me everything you know!
G - But of course!
D - (Grrr… after I ask my first question, I'd say I only have about 6 minutes and 9 seconds to find this killer! Not only that, I'd probably want to get a notepad or perhaps have an electronic note prepared!)

Ask to describe the guest's hair color
  • Couple 1: Ah yes. The siblings.
    • What?!
    • Hah! I only kid. Both blonde, but would easily mistake them for twins.
    • Gross
  • Couple 2: An interesting set. Boy was plain and boring with black hair but the timid girl had an interesting shade of blue.
    • Innocent on the outside, but we all know what that means about their true nature
    • Oh yes. Most certainly do.
  • Couple 3: A romance between ladies. One was a ginger wearing glasses and the other with purple hair. They had very contrasting apparel, which makes me wonder what their love is like.
    • Oh I most certainly wouldn't mind detecting those two.
    • What was that?
    • Huh? Oh just detective.. thoughts.
  • Couple 4: Red headed goatee boy whose way out of his league on the blonde. She wears her hair over her left shoulder with experience. Certainly knows how to catch the young Make Out virgins. Also wears glasses.
    • Sounds like she wouldn't mind me asking her a couple of questions.
    • Certainly more than just a couple.
  • Couple 5: A rather bulky tough fellow with a teal mohawk. The blonde girl also seems to be no stranger to the wild side of making out with the dominating aura she gives.
    • Not really my go to type, but sounds fitting for a cold and solitary job like my own.
  • Couple 6: An older mustached gentleman who's gone grey. Not everyone takes our complimentary make out mags, but--
    • No no. I've heard enough.

Ask to describe the guest's age
  • Couple 1: They're about in their 30s.
    • Just like me.. Hopefully early 30s, should I… intervene.
  • Couple 2: Oh young love. The two just turned 18 and already experimenting in a love motel. I'd say either brave to their fantasies or living a secret love.
    • Secret love huh? Heh, those were the times.
  • Couple 3: A couple of college girls, probably no older than 25.
    • Oh 25? No doubt an age group worthy of detecting--in relation to other murder cases but of course!
  • Couple 4: The girl's a graduate student and the boy's about 20. No doubt he was swooped up at a party.
    •  Sounds like an experienced kisser up against a rookie.
  • Couple 5: Middle age lovers looking to experience something different no doubt.
    • Different how?
    • Different ways to kiss, let's just say.
  • Couple 6: A man in his 50s holding on to his young dreams. I may judge, but I won't deny. All is welcome in the Love Throne Six Nine Motel. Even you Detective.
    • I appreciate the warm welcome, but don't think it really fits my style.
    • If you change your mind, you'll have a special discount.

Ask to describe the frequency of the guest's visit
  • Couple 1: First time for the two. The boy let me in on a secret. Their making out for the first time. Not often do we get honeymooners in our Love Motel.
    • Sounds like an abstinent couple saving themselves for marriage. What a very interesting fantasy for a place like this.
  • Couple 2: Why the young lady just turned 18 last month. They were awfully nervous, being their first time here.
    • First time nervous, second time confident. Something along those lines, right?
    • Love is beautiful, isn't it?
  • Couple 3: Both first time here. Though, the way they looked and were physical with each other would suggest this isn't their first time.
    • First time?
    • Making out.
    • Hmmm..
    • Getting pleasureful images?
    • Yeah--uhhh for detective purposes of course. Have to imagine if the killer is interested in these sorts. I'll have to delve on the idea for longer a little later.
  • Couple 4: First time for the poor boy, but a frequent comer, as one could say, for the lady.
    • Let me guess, the poor boy's paying for all this?
    • Young boy eager to make out with an older lady? Make out for the first time? Is it even a question?
    • Though I can say so much, she certainly gives this place good weekly business.
  • Couple 5: First time seeing the two here. I'm sure the two wild couples will be back again.
    • Wild is not my style.
  • Couple 6: Hah! Ol' Larry has visited us for ages. Just for him, I cut the price of his stay in half since he is always alone.
    • I better find someone to forever lock lips with and fast.

Ask to stop everything
G - Why of course we most certainly can, but do understand that these couples could be…errr… making out.
D - Hmmm.. You are right.. I wouldn't want to ruin any of these pure, virtuous, and guileless human beings of their burning, passionate, and raging…. Lips.
D - I must only interrupt the couple truly at risk!

(Think about prior cases for hints)
I have to think. Do these folks have anything in common? Or is there something about a couple that stands out?
  • If describe appearance
    • From past cases, the killer has always gone after blonde females. The men didn't have any specific features though. However, what about females with dyed hair colors? Could I rule them out?
  • If describe age
    • All but one victim were in their 20s. The only other was in her 30s, while dating a younger man. Does age really play a role?
  • If describe visited before
    • I was hoping on hearing about a suspicious visitor. Or maybe someone who came earlier. Aside the man coming alone, he seems to be a frequent visitor. Does a person's attendance contribute to this case?
    • How about those who are more experienced with Kissing than others?
  • Final hint
    • Most killers are born from some self-loathing. Especially those with a pattern. Typically a tragic event, or the way they were brought up in life. I have to think..
    • Blondes. Why only blondes?
    • Victims are typically young, though some broke this pattern.
    • How about length of relationship?
    • Wait that's it!
    • Most of the victims were young. Some were early in their relationships, while others were not.
    • Of those victim who survived mentioned having a deep love but having never cheated.
    • Some have admitted to never making out before!
    • These victims! These targets!
  • True Final hint
    • They're all making out for the first time!
    • I must act! Which of these couples are making out for the first time that fits the pattern of being blonde?!

Done with questions

Entering rooms of couples
Couple1
    • Ahhhh!
    • Whoa. Are you two… siblings?
    • M: What?!
    • F: Ew no!
    • Jesus, the features are uncanny.
    • M: What are you doing in here?!
    • Right. I'm a ---

Couple2
Winner
- Ahhhhhh!
- M: I didn't ask for this, I swear!
- He didn't and neither did she. I'm Detective Hearts.
- Sorry to interfere in your two first time making out, but the Valentine's Day Killer is here and going to strike the two of you.
F: I thought he only goes after blondes.
- Natural blondes and wigs or hair dye won't stop him.
- M: Why us? We're just kids from the high-school!
- Most killers murder inspire from bad treatment in their past, but better yet. How about we ask him ourselves.
- I know you're here! And I'm going to find you!
Couple3
    • Ahhhhh!
    • Why hello.
    • I mean, Detective Hearts. I am here on an important case.
    • You two are in danger!
    • There is a killer on the loose, but I have everything under control.
    • You two have to continue your business of making out. I will hide in this closet here and the moment the killer sets foot--
Couple4
    • M: What the?!
    • F: I didn't think we'd have an extra guest.
    • F: Though, I wouldn't mind.
    • F: You wouldn't mind either, right? Otherwise, it might get awkward and we'd have to stop making out.
    • F: Which would be a real bummer after you paid so much for our room tonight.
    • F: I don't care who you are. Come over here right now.
    • Uhhh… uhhhhh--
Couple5
If asked about this couple:
  • Detective Hearts! Can I open my eyes? Can I open them?!
Otherwise
  • Detective Hearts!
M: Yo what the hell man?!
F: Matty, this is not what I had in mind.
M: Yo me neither. What are you doing in here?! We were just about to start making out!--
If asked about this couple:
  • Oh thank god I wasn't too late--
Couple6
    • Detective Hearts--! Oh god.
    • M: Ahhh. What are you doing in my room!
    • Trust me, I didn't want to-- are you seriously here by yourself?
    • Are those magazines? Aren't you like 60?
    • M: 59. But what I do is my own damn business!
    • M: Whether I'm 59 or 69 does not matter!
    • It really sho--

If fail:
AHHHHHH!
No.. It can't be.
I was so sure I detected this right..
I am.. a failure.

-February 15th-
Last night added another 2 victims to the Valentine's Day Killer.
6 years… 9 dead…
I am a failed detective. And I will detect.. No more.

If winner:
Judging this room, he could be hiding under the bed, closet, or bathroom.
I'd better choose wisely. If I pick the wrong one, he might take it as a chance to escape.
I can also ask if these two heard or noticed anything odd.

Ask Girl:
While I was in the bathroom, I did hear a noise out here.
Guy: Oh that was the time I went out to grab the wine.

Ask guy:
Sorry, I haven't noticed anything.

Ask girl again:
Wait! I know a trick. Knock on the closet door.

Knocks on closet
Aaron has slept in my closet many times for me know what it sounds like when a person in inside!
HE'S IN THERE!

Man falls out.
On your knees!
Guy: Wow, good job Aggy!

Valentine's Day Killer. It is over.
Why did you do it?! Why are you murdering people?!

I want a lawyer.

Goddammit!

Screen blacks.

On the way to transit. The killer suicided in the police vehicle.
Flexible bastard. He wore a fake skin with a knife hidden on his belly. Used it to kill himself.

Screen fades back to Love Motel.

G: I'm surprised you're back detective.
You played a key role in my detecting. I had to come back to thank you appropriately.
G: And you did my motel justice. You are welcome here anytime at half the cost.
I appreciate the gesture, but this place just isn't my type.

Two girls leave.
G1: OMG. I can't believe there was a murderer here the other day.
G2: That was so hot, wasn't it?
G1: It could not get any hotter.
G2: Oh I bet I can think of a way.
G2: What if we got a man involved?
G2: Someone nerdy.
G1: Ooo and a bit tough.
G2: Like that detective who found the murderer here?
G1: Please, he has to be young.
G2: No more than 35.

32. YES.
Girls hahaha as they leave.
Uhhhh if you'd excuse me. I take back everything I said about this place and suddenly have a case.

Ladies! Did I hear you were looking for the detector?
I should have you know, I'm also investigating a case of: Making Out.

Good end:
Killer explodes out of the closet and makes a run for it.
What?! I was so sure! Impossible!

Screen blacks.
And just like that. The Valentine Day Killer escaped. I managed to save lives this year, but I've also never came this close to catching him.
Will he surface again next year?
Will I be able to catch him?
There is nothing left, but for me to be haunted by these thoughts.
If anything, these two will continue to live and make out many times again.

Game page synopsis
On the 14th of February, couples have been attacked in the past five years. Today marks the sixth year since the string of murders with a tallied seven victims. However, I am hot on his trail. I have deduced his crimes to take place in love motels, where couples are known to.. "Make Out." The first is to figure out which town's motel. Then to save the couple from the knife of the killer! For the love of burning and passionate lips, I, Detective Heart will save you! Or else, this sixth year will total nine victims to the Valentine's Day Killer.
